Sportswear Wholesale Supplier Supports Low MOQ for Shopify & Amazon Sellers
Wholesale sportswear for e-commerce sellers in 30 countries. Low MOQ from 10 pieces, private label, retail-ready packing and marketplace-compliant labelling — built for sellers who need to test a range before committing to a season.
Fexwear is a sportswear wholesale supplier supporting wholesale needs for small businesses, Shopify and Amazon sellers, and brands in 30 countries. Founded in 2010, we run our own in-house knitting, cut-and-sew, sublimation and quality-control lines, and we take a wholesale programme from a rough sketch or a finished tech pack all the way through to labelled, packed cartons — with minimum order quantities starting at 10 pieces.
E-commerce selling changes the way apparel has to be bought. A physical retailer commits to a range once a season; a marketplace seller has to test a range continuously, because listing data tells you what converted last week and not what will convert next month. That means the wholesale terms have to be different in two specific ways: the minimum has to be low enough to test with, and the delivery has to be fast enough to reorder on the signal. Getting 500 pieces of the wrong thing is not a season’s mistake you can absorb, it is cash tied up in inventory that has to be discounted.
This guide covers what we actually supply to wholesale and marketplace buyers, the fabric decisions behind a sellable sportswear line, how private label and marketplace compliance work, the practical differences between a wholesale order and a retail order, minimum order quantities, and the questions buyers ask most.
Fexwear: Supporting Small Sportswear Businesses and Wholesalers
Why the terms are different, and what a wholesale programme actually includes.
What a wholesale order includes
Low MOQ from 10 pieces
Minimum order quantities start at 10 pieces per style and colour, genuinely per design rather than per order. This is the single most important term for a marketplace seller, because it is what lets you test four styles instead of committing to one.
Retail-ready packing
We can produce packing folded to size, polybagged, tagged with your size and care labels, and barcoded with GTIN or UPC as required. A marketplace seller who has to barcodes at home is losing the labour cost difference between the two, and more importantly losing the time.
Private label
Create your own private label with heat transfer labels, sublimated logos, or woven sew labels — all produced in-house so label minimums never stall your launch. A complete private label programme also covers hangtags and a branded polybag.
Fast turnaround
Two to four weeks for bulk production, and around a week for air freight. In a listing-data-driven business, the ability to reorder on a signal rather than on a season is worth more than a small unit-price difference.
Product Categories We Supply Wholesale
Four core ranges, all produced in-house with your artwork, colours and labels.
Teamwear
Basketball, baseball, soccer, rugby, cricket and fishing kit. The highest reorder rate of any wholesale category, because a club reorders the same kit every season and often adds a second team.
Activewear
Leggings, tees, outerwear and matching sets. The category with the broadest size range, which makes it the hardest to fit well across a marketplace audience — and the most worth getting right.
Cycling & Gym
Cycling kit and gym wear from the same blocks that run our cycling clothing and activewear programmes, which means the fit is already proven rather than being tested on your inventory.
Yoga & Lifestyle
Yoga wear and athleisure. Note that these overlap with our activewear range, so a marketplace buyer building a broad listing catalogue usually gets better unit pricing by consolidating.
Fabric Choices for a Sellable Sportswear Line
Comfortable and styish construction
Cotton-rich blends
Most of Fexwear’s sportswear and activewear is crafted from soft, skin-friendly fabrics like cotton-rich blends, which is what sells in the lifestyle half of a marketplace listing. The trade-off is real and should be priced in: cotton pills at the hip and absorbs sweat, so specify it for the lifestyle SKUs and keep a performance knit for the training SKUs. More on fabric types for custom sportswear.
Performance poly blends
Fexwear’s sports fabrics are specifically designed to support athletes and active individuals during activity. Moisture wicking moves sweat off the skin rather than trapping it, and a quick-dry finish is what stops a garment staying wet through a listing photograph. These are the SKUs that generate fewer returns, and return rate is the metric that decides whether a marketplace listing is viable.
Breathability & finishes
Sweating is the body’s natural way of staying cool, which is why breathable fabric matters more in this category than anywhere else. Specify finishes explicitly — anti-pilling on anything fleece-backed, UPF 40+ for outdoor listings, and anti-odour for a range positioned around sport.
Opacity is a return-rate issue
Marketplace Compliance and Labelling
Labelling for a marketplace
We produce retail-ready packing folded to size, polybagged, tagged with your size and care labels, and barcoded with GTIN or UPC as required. For marketplace sellers the specifics matter: the barcode has to scan at the packing station, the size label has to match what the listing claims, and the fibre content and country-of-origin information has to be physically present on the garment rather than only in the listing. A mismatch between listing and label is the most common cause of a takedown, and it is entirely avoidable by specifying it up front.
Brand registration support
For Amazon sellers, brand registration usually requires a trademark, and some categories require additional documentation. We supply the production-side artefacts you need: private label programmes with your own brand wording, care and fibre-content labels, hangtags, and a branded polybag. If you sell in more than one market, tell us which ones in the first enquiry so the labelling set is built in from the start rather than retrofitted per market.
Documentation we can support
- Fibre content and care labels in your own wording, to the specification your market requires.
- Size labels with your own branding, produced in-house so label minimums do not hold up a launch.
- Barcode application — GTIN or UPC applied to the polybag and to the carton as required.
- Sustainability credentials — we hold BSCI, WRAP, SEDEX and SMETA for labour and social audit, OEKO-TEX for material safety, and ISO-based quality management. If a platform or a buyer requires documented sustainability credentials, ask which certificate covers which fabric.
Sizing for a Wide Marketplace Audience
Build the size range around data, not optimism
Most sellers should offer fewer sizes with higher stock per size, not a full XS–3XL spread. A range with five sizes means each size holds a fifth as much stock, so the two most popular sizes go out of stock constantly and the rest sit at cost. Tell us the size split you expect and we will quote it that way; the wholesale buyer guide covers how sellers structure this.
Make the chart describe the garment
Our sizing and measurement blueprint covers what a chart needs to include, and the single most important detail is that the listed measurements are the finished garment measurements, not the body measurements. A listing that says “waist 68 cm” when the garment measures 72 cm generates returns that look like a manufacturing problem and are actually a listing problem. Fit options range from fitted to relaxed, and each has a different tolerance — the grading guide explains how the block is built.
Quality Control and Compliance
Inspection points
Physical tests
- Colour consistency — panels compared against the approved sample under daylight, which is what catches a shade drift between dye lots.
- Measurement audit — a spot-check across the size run, because grading errors appear at the extremes rather than in the middle.
- Stretch recovery test — stretch, hold, release and measure, with a 3% residual deformation ceiling.
- Opacity / squat test — light-table test on every pale and mid-tone fabric, including two layers overlapped.
- Pilling rub test — on fleece and terry, at the elbow and cuff.
Packing & delivery
- Retail-ready packing — folded to size, polybagged, size and care labelled, and barcoded with GTIN or UPC as required.
- Carton marking — your carton marks rather than ours, because a mixed delivery has to be identifiable on arrival.
- Reorder matching — patterns, trims and artwork kept on file so a reorder matches the original run rather than approximating it.
Minimum Order Quantity and Pricing
What actually drives unit price
Collaborating with 30+ partners across material sourcing and garment production, but fabric remains the biggest cost lever. Nylon-spandex at 190 gsm is roughly double the cost of a cotton-rich blend at the same weight, before finishing.
Sublimation of an all-over panel costs meaningfully more than a single-colour screen print, but the per-unit cost falls as coverage rises.
A five-size run costs more per piece than a two-size run, and for a marketplace seller the real cost is the stock sitting in the wrong size. Fewer sizes is usually cheaper per wearable item.
Custom size labels, woven sew labels and barcode application add real cost at low volume, and the private label programme covers all of it.
Every additional style adds setup, pattern and panel time. Consolidating a broad listing catalogue into a few proven SKUs with deeper stock is usually the cheapest saving available.
Volume tiers
The drop in unit price happens in steps, not smoothly, and the biggest step is usually at a few hundred pieces per style. Practical advice for marketplace sellers: put your first order into four styles at ten pieces each rather than forty pieces of one style, because the information you gain about which style converts is worth more than the unit-price saving on the one that does not.
Order Timeline: Enquiry to Delivery
Built for reorder speed
We review your design, confirm the fabric, give a costed quote, and confirm what is achievable at your size split.
From sketch to sample: you send artwork or a sketch, we produce a sample for approval. Allow three to five days for a standard sample.
Samples come back with your written approval, and we send a label and barcode proof for checking against your listing before production.
Knitting, cutting, sewing, printing, labelling and finishing. Two to four weeks is typical for a moderate order.
AQL inspection, retail-ready packing with your barcodes, and dispatch. Air freight is around a week; sea freight to Europe or the US runs three to five weeks.
Plan on roughly ten to twelve weeks from enquiry to delivery. Reorders are faster because we hold your pattern, trims and artwork on file — which is the number that matters if you are buying on listing data.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is your minimum order quantity?
Minimum order quantities start at 10 pieces per style and colour, genuinely per design rather than per order, so you can develop several styles at ten pieces each. Practical minimums rise once you add a full size run or several colourways. Sample cost is credited against your first bulk order.
Can you match our colours exactly?
Yes. We dye to your exact Pantone reference and check against a physical swatch under daylight viewing, because monitor colour is the most common source of disputes. Saturated shades can shift slightly between dye lots, so we recommend a lab dip for those.
What artwork file format do you need?
Vector files — AI, EPS or PDF — give the best results. For sublimation all-over prints, a high-resolution raster file at 300 dpi at final size is acceptable. We can work from a rough sketch if you are early in the process.
Can you ship to our country?
We ship to 30 countries and can arrange both air and sea freight. We produce retail-ready packing and barcodes where your market requires them, so tell us your destination in the first enquiry.
