OEM/ODM Private Label Fitness Clothing Wholesale Manufacturer
Private label fitness clothing for startups, brands and retailers in the USA, UK, AU and worldwide. In-house knitting, cut-and-sew, sublimation, embroidery and QC — from label design to labelled, packed cartons, MOQ from 10 pieces.
PRIVATE LABEL · FOR MEN & WOMEN FITNESS CLOTHING
Fexwear is one of the best sportswear suppliers worldwide and a leading private label fitness clothing manufacturer, helping your products stand out in a market where most listings look identical. Founded in 2010, we operate our own factory with in-house knitting, cut-and-sew, sublimation, embroidery and quality-control lines — and we take a private label programme from a logo sketch to labelled, packed cartons, with minimum order quantities starting at 10 pieces.
Do you want to fulfil your private label sportswear clothing business dreams? The hard part of a private label business is not the garment. It is that anyone can buy the same leggings from the same factory, so the only thing that makes a listing yours is what surrounds the product: the label, the packaging, the sizing consistency, and whether a customer who buys it twice gets the same thing. That is what this page is about.
Below we cover what Fexwear private label fitness clothing actually includes, the six steps to launch a line, the difference between private label and white label (which is the distinction most first-time buyers get wrong), and what we can and cannot do for a startup brand.
Leggings
The highest reorder rate in fitness, and the hardest garment to fit. Specify the waistband construction and the recovery spec before you sample.
Sports Bras
Cup construction matters more than fabric here. Removable foam is forgiving to size; moulded cups fix the volume and need a cup-volume size run.
T-Shirts & Tops
Interlock for anything fitted or sublimated, cotton-rich blends for the lifestyle half of the range. The two belong in different size runs.
Hoodies & Outerwear
French terry and loopback fleece, sharing blocks with our embroidered hoodies and sweatshirts programmes.
White label available
Prefer to test a category before committing to branding? Our white label route is the same factory and the same quality standard, without the exclusivity.
Enhanced comfort
Comfort in a fitness garment is a question of hand and fit, not of marketing. Both are measurable, and both are specified before sampling.
Sweatshirts
French terry and fleece crew necks, the second-highest reorder rate after leggings, and the easiest place to start a private label range.
Full catalogue
Over 50 fabrics in stock and a broad category range, so a multi-style range does not mean multi-supplier.
What’s Fexwear Private Label Fitness Clothing?
Leggings, sports bras, t-shirts, hoodies
Fexwear specializes in private label services, offering leggings, sports bras, t-shirts, hoodies and more under your own brand. At our self-owned factory we produce sportswear, gym clothes, fitness wear, tracksuits and activewear — so the same block can carry across several categories in one range.
Labels, tags and packaging
Custom label development is where most private label programmes are won or lost. We produce woven sew labels, heat-transfer woven labels, sublimated tags with zero stitch lines, size tabs, and care labels in your own wording — all in-house, so label minimums never hold up your launch.
Retail-ready & marketplace-ready
Hangtags, a branded polybag, retail-ready folding, and barcoding with GTIN or UPC as required. On platforms like Amazon, private labeling offers an exclusive product listing for your brand, and the packaging is what arrives at the customer’s door — it is the cheapest brand impression you will ever get.
Logo embossing & trademarks
From logo embossing to design trademarks, Fexwear excels at customization. Our design team produces the tech pack, the artwork and the sample, and our sizing blueprint covers what to send us so the first sample is close.
How to Start Your Private Label Sports Clothing Line?
Choose the styles you want to sell
Start narrow. Two or three styles that share a block cost less to develop and give you real feedback, where ten styles give you none. Our activewear and gym wear programmes show which styles repeat-order fastest.
Define your target audience
This decides the fit, the fabric and the price point, and it should be decided before you sample rather than after. A studio customer and an everyday customer need different drape and different opacity, and our yoga and activewear guides explain the difference.
Identify what makes your brand unique
The hardest question, and the one that decides whether the label is worth anything. If the answer is “better quality”, that is not an answer a customer can see. A specific fabric, a specific fit, or a specific use case is.
Work with our designers to create your brand’s look
Our design team produces the artwork, the tech pack and the sample, and will tell you honestly when a design will not work as drawn. That conversation is cheaper than a bulk order that has to be redone.
Make fitting samples of labels, tags, and packaging
The most-skipped step and the one that causes the most returns. A woven label that sits stiff on a bare-skin fabric, or a polybag that is the wrong size for the garment, is discovered by the customer rather than by you.
Start bulk production after approval
Two to four weeks for a moderate order, with patterns, trims and artwork on file so a reorder matches the original run. Our wholesale buyer guide covers how to structure volume tiers as you scale.
Ship your products after quality inspection
AQL inspection, retail-ready packing, and dispatch. Fexwear ensures every step is smooth, helping you create a standout private label sportswear brand.
Why You Need Custom-Made Private Label Fitness Clothing?
You build a listing nobody else has
You can build a brand that appears nowhere else, which is the only durable version of the word “exclusive” in this category.
Better value at a lower price
Private labels appeal to customers by offering better value — often at lower prices but with equal or superior quality, because you control the specification instead of buying someone else’s.
You control the specification
You choose the fabric, the fit, the size run and the decoration. That is what stops a rebrand from being a logo swap — and it is why a complete private label programme matters more than a cheap garment.
Differences Between Private Label and White Label
- What it is
- A manufacturer creates a generic product that is sold to multiple retailers
- Who it suits
- Sellers testing whether a category has demand before committing to branding
- Trade-off
- Lower cost per unit and faster to launch, but your listing is one of many selling the same garment, and the price is set by the market rather than by you
- What it is
- A single retailer gets exclusive rights to sell a customized product
- Who it suits
- Brands and sellers who have found a product that works and now want to own it
- Trade-off
- Higher development cost and a longer lead time, and the responsibility falls on you when it does not sell — which is also why the exclusivity is worth something
Private Label Fabric and Fit
How the fabric feels
A bare-skin fabric should feel like nothing at all after an hour. That means a smooth face, no coarse weave, and enough elastane to return to shape rather than staying stretched. Our fabric selection guide covers how to specify this, and the elastane versus nylon guide explains the composition trade-off.
How it fits across sizes
Enhanced comfort starts with fit, and fit starts with a block that was graded on the actual fabric. A size chart that lists body measurements rather than finished garment measurements is the most common cause of returns in this category, and the cheapest thing to fix. Our sizing blueprint covers what to send us.
Wide product catalogue
At Fexwear, we eliminate stock-sourcing issues by offering an extensive catalog of fitness clothing options — leggings, sports bras, t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, teamwear and more, all made to your specification rather than bought off a shelf.
Quality Control and Label Integrity
Quality tests
- Colour consistency — panels compared against the approved sample under daylight, catching a shade drift between dye lots.
- Measurement audit — a spot-check across the size run, because grading errors appear at the extremes.
- Stretch recovery test — stretch, hold, release and measure, with a 3% residual deformation ceiling.
- Opacity test — light-table test on pale and mid-tone fabrics, including two layers overlapped.
- Pilling rub test — on fleece and terry, at the elbow and cuff.
- Colour fastness to wash and sweat — sublimated prints tested to confirm the ink does not migrate or fade.
Label & packing checks
- Label position audit — every woven label, sublimated tag and size tab checked against the approved sample, measured rather than eyeballed.
- Backing check on stretch fabric — confirm the label backing is present and correct, because it is invisible until the garment is washed a dozen times.
- Hangtag and polybag fit — checked on the finished garment, not on the packaging sample.
- Retail-ready packing — folded to size, polybagged, and barcoded with GTIN or UPC as required.
- Reorder matching — patterns, trims and artwork kept on file so a reorder matches the original run.
Choose Fexwear as Your Private Label Fitness Clothing Manufacturer
Premium Fabrics and Techniques
At Fexwear, we use high-quality sportswear fabrics and advanced sublimation techniques to elevate your fitness range. The fabric library is the widest part of what we do, and it is where a private label programme usually gets better.
Comprehensive Customization
From logo embossing to design trademarks, Fexwear excels at customization. As one of the top private label manufacturers, we produce the artwork, the tech pack, the labels and the packaging in-house.
Wide Range of Products
At Fexwear, we eliminate stock-sourcing issues by offering an extensive catalog of fitness clothing options — so a multi-style private label range does not mean managing multiple suppliers.
Expertise You Can Rely On
By choosing our private label service, you gain access to our team’s extensive experience in the garment industry — including the experience of telling you when a design will not work as drawn.
Minimum Order Quantity and Pricing
What actually drives unit price
Nylon-spandex at 190 gsm is roughly double the cost of a cotton-rich blend at the same weight, before finishing. This is the decision that determines whether a range is repeatable at your price, so it is not the place to economise on a first order.
Woven sew labels, sublimated tags, hangtags and a branded polybag add real cost at low volume, and sublimated tags add almost nothing. This is the line item most first-time buyers underestimate.
Sublimation of an all-over panel costs more than a chest screen print, but the per-unit cost falls as coverage rises.
A five-size run costs more per piece than a two-size run, and for a first private label range two or three sizes with higher stock each is usually cheaper per wearable garment.
Gussets, flatlock seams, contour waistbands and colour-matched zips each add a setup and a sewing operation — and on a private label garment those are the details a customer notices.
Volume tiers
The drop in unit price happens in steps, not smoothly, and the biggest step is usually at a few hundred pieces per style. The wholesale buyer guide covers how buyers structure these tiers and where the real breakpoints fall.
Order Timeline: Enquiry to Delivery
Working backwards from a launch date
We review your design, confirm the fabric, give a costed quote, and confirm what is achievable at your quantity.
From sketch to sample: you send artwork or a sketch, we produce a sample for approval, including label and packaging samples.
Samples come back with your written approval, and the tech pack, labels, tags and packaging are locked. This is the week to settle every brand decision, because after production starts it becomes a reprint.
Knitting, cutting, sewing, printing, embroidery, labelling and finishing. Two to four weeks is typical for a moderate order.
AQL inspection including the label position audit, retail-ready packing, and dispatch. Air freight is around a week; sea freight to Europe or the US runs three to five weeks.
Plan on roughly ten to twelve weeks from enquiry to delivery. If your date is immovable, tell us in the first conversation — we would rather decline a rushed order than ship something that arrives without time for your own quality check.
What Fexwear Can and Cannot Do
We can do this
- Develop a range from a sketch, a reference garment, or an existing product you already sell well.
- Build a dedicated youth-adult or mens-womens grading block, and reverse-engineer one from a garment you send.
- Produce woven sew labels, sublimated tags, hangtags and branded polybags in-house.
- Ship retail-ready and barcoded cartons to 30 countries, air or sea.
- Tell you honestly when a fabric, a construction or a decoration will not survive real use.
We will be straight about this
- We cannot produce a design that has not been physically sampled and is guaranteed to be perfect. Nobody can.
- A price below a certain level on a given fabric is not a better deal — it is a different garment.
- Trademark registration is your responsibility, not the factory’s; we can produce to your artwork, but we cannot advise on whether it is yours to use.
- A launch date that leaves no room for a second sample is a date we would rather decline than miss.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is your minimum order quantity?
Minimum order quantities start at 10 pieces per style and colour, genuinely per design rather than per order, so you can develop several styles at ten pieces each. Practical minimums rise once you add a full size run or several colourways. Sample cost is credited against your first bulk order.
Can you match our colours exactly?
Yes. We dye to your exact Pantone reference and check against a physical swatch under daylight viewing, because monitor colour is the most common source of disputes. Saturated shades can shift slightly between dye lots, so we recommend a lab dip for those.
What artwork file format do you need?
Vector files — AI, EPS or PDF — give the best results. For sublimation all-over prints, a high-resolution raster file at 300 dpi at final size is acceptable. We can work from a rough sketch if you are early in the process.
Can you ship to our country?
We ship to 30 countries and can arrange both air and sea freight. We produce retail-ready packing and barcodes where your market requires them, so tell us your destination in the first enquiry.
